Montréal, November 18, 2021 – Committed to pursuing its involvement with First Nations communities, EACOM Timber Corporation has contributed $30,000 to the gas station renovation project in the community of Long Point, located in Témiscamingue, Quebec.
With renovations having begun at the end of summer 2021, the gas station has now been in operation since November 11, 2021.
“As a company, we have always taken a proactive approach to maintaining open and mutually beneficial relationships with the communities in the traditional territories where we operate,” says Eric Larouche, Vice President of Human Resources at EACOM. This project is a concrete example of that, and we are proud to have contributed to it.”
The forestry company recently decided to begin the process of completing the Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) certification program offered by the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB).
