EACOM Expands Scholarship Program
MONTREAL, QC, March 30, 2015 —EACOM Timber Corporation is pleased to announce it’s expanding its scholarship program to include students in Ontario, as well as Quebec.
A part of its social license to operate, EACOM’s scholarship program demonstrates the Company’s commitment to and support for the communities within which it operates. The program is comprised of two categories: an Aboriginal Scholarship Program and a Company Scholarship for families of EACOM staff.
The Aboriginal Scholarship Program provides a one-time $1,000 of financial support to Aboriginal students of Inuit, First Nations or Métis ancestry who are interested in pursuing a post-secondary education in the fields of forestry or business.
Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong academic standing and substantial involvement in the Aboriginal community. Students must further exemplify a commitment to their field of study through volunteer or paid work.
EACOM is also offering a one-time Company scholarship of $1,000 to Ontario and Quebec students in the fields of forestry or business with a parent or legal guardian in a full-time position with the Company.
Admission for applications starts in September and the application deadline for both scholarships is April 30th, 2015. For more information on submission criteria and application evaluation contact rh-hr@eacom.ca.
