EACOM Announces Senior Management Change
Montréal, Québec and Vancouver, British Columbia – EACOM Timber
Corporation (ETR: TSX-V) (“EACOM”, or the “Company”) announced today the Mr. Jean-
François Mérette, President and COO, Eastern Canada has advised that he will be leaving
the Company on June 18, 2011 to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Mérette joined the
Company on the acquisition of the Domtar forest products business in June of 2010. Mr.
Mérette has agreed to continue on a consulting basis after June 18, 2011 to provide for an
orderly transition.
“We would like to thank Jean-François for his service and wish him the best on his future
endeavours. He was instrumental in the transition and operation of the business in the last
year”, said Mr. Rick Doman, President and CEO of EACOM.

EACOM Timber Corporation is a TSX-V listed company. EACOM owns seven sawmills and an
equity interest in an eighth sawmill, all located in Eastern Canada, and related tenures. The
mills are Timmins, Nairn Centre, Gogama and Ear Falls in Ontario, and Val-d’Or, Ste-Marie
and Matagami in Quebec. The equity interest is in the Elk Lake sawmill located in Ontario.
The sawmills in Ear Falls, Ontario, and Ste-Marie, Quebec, are currently idled. EACOM also
owns one idled mill in Big River, Saskatchewan, a remanufacturing facility and a 50%
interest in an “I” joist plant.
